Dr. David Holloway, President of National Clean Cities, Inc. will provided brief
welcoming remarks and made a presentation on the high-price of oil and where it is heading.

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR’S UPDATE

Greg Zilberfarb, Executive Director of National Clean Cities, Inc. gave an
overview on the workshop and provided an update on the funding
opportunities with NCC, Inc.


LEGISLATIVE UPDATE
Paul Kerkhoven, Director of Government Affairs for the Natural Gas
Vehicle Coalition, provided an overview of alternative fuels legislation
pending before Congress.


SIMPLIFYING THE APPROPRIATIONS PROCESS
JJ Brown, with Senator Orrin Hatch’s (R-UT) office, described the
appropriations process.


CMAQ FUNDING
Michael Koontz with the Department of Transportation discussed funding
opportunities provided by CMAQ.


CMAQ FUNDING OPPORTUNITIES
Carol Werner, Executive Director of the Environmental and Energy Study
Institute, discussed funding opportunities that may not be as obvious with
CMAQ, and what you can do to ensure funding doesn’t get returned using a
process called “rescission.”


FAA VALE PROGRAM
Jake Plante, with the Federal Aviation Administration, discussed the
VALE Program and the funding opportunities associated with it.


LIFECYCLE COSTING
Naomi Friedman, Director of Sustainable Energy for the New American
Dream, will discuss how fleets can defend the additional costs
sometimes associated with AFVS.

SEP GUIDANCE
NCC, Inc. Board Member Ruth Horton discussed the SEP Grant
Solicitation process and offer advice on how to submit a winning
proposal.


AVIATION PROGRAM
Dr. Jim Renton, Boeing Corporation, and Carla York, Global Energy
Conservation Group, discussed the benefits of the Aviation Program


IDLE REDUCTION STRATEGIES
Randolph talked about his firm’s idle reduction strategies and discuss
funding opportunities available for the Coordinators.”
